Chrystel Arts Theatre School is an independent part- time Theatre School with branches in Edgware, Mill Hill & Chesham which has been running since 1987, with the acting agency forming a year later. The school is a direct descendant of Edgware Dance Studios and prior to that, the Doris Clark School of Dancing established in the 1930’s.

Classes

We offer part-time classes in Speech & Drama, Musical Theatre, Ballet, Modern/Jazz, Contemporary/Lyrical, Street, Tap, Dance Fusion and Dance Based Fitness for all ages and abilities. Students can take examinations in dance (ISTD) and drama/musical theatre (LAMDA) and there are regular performances, presentations and festivals.

We aim to get the best out of everyone – whether they are looking to go into vocational training or just enjoy a once-a-week hobby.

We strive to create a positive, non-competitive inclusive environment where many students make friends for life.

We treat each student as an individual, helping them reach their full potential whatever their physicality.

Our team

Our staff are highly qualified and experienced in their various fields and many are professional actors, dancers and performers in their own right, passing on to the students their invaluable experience gained in the industry. Some teachers started their training at Chrystel Arts at the tender age of 3 years old!

Our Acting Agency

The Chrystel Arts Agency was formed in 1988 to represent children and young adults for film, television and theatre work. We represent a diverse range of actors across the UK and Europe, and work hard to help nurture and showcase our clients talents. We’re a close-knit family passionate about guiding actors on their unique journeys in the entertainment industry with a commitment to personalised attention and a caring environment.
